JLG Industries
Have you heard? JLG is expanding its long-term relationships with two trusted equipment partners. In 2023, we announced the acquisition of Hinowa, and in 2024, we acquired AUSA.
At JLG, our mission is to provide world-class excellence in quality, service and delivery to our distributors and customers. Both acquisitions will help JLG expand our offerings to customers across core and adjacent markets, including construction, material handling, agriculture, landscape and specialty equipment applications.
Hinowa
Hinowa is a leading manufacturer of track-based aerial work platforms, mini dumpers, lift trucks and undercarriages.
Hinowa was founded in 1987 in Nogara, Italy, and today has an approximate 250,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and 50,000 sq. ft. parts facility with nearly 230 team members. The company has a long history of innovation, offering a diverse line of premium products for work at height, material transport and vegetation management applications. They are well-known globally for their advanced track designs and electrification expertise as early adopters and leaders in lithium-ion battery technology.
Since 2010, Hinowa has produced JLG® compact crawler boom lifts, including electric, hybrid and diesel-powered models.
The acquisition was about growing the company and growing our capabilities. Combining our capabilities will enable us to better serve customers and expand our operational footprint globally.
AUSA
AUSA designs and manufactures wheeled dumpers, rough terrain forklifts and telehandlers that serve
construction, materials handling, agriculture and landscaping.
Founded in 1956 in Barcelona, Spain, AUSA’s global operations today include production facilities of over 250,000 sq. ft., surrounded by 250,000 sq. ft. of outside storage. Its approximately 350 team members and 200 dealers bring a long history of innovation, quality and customer service.
In 2020, JLG and AUSA developed a partnership to bring the JLG® SkyTrak® 3013 to market.
AUSA’s product portfolio is closely aligned with markets served by JLG and enhances JLG’s portfolio,
including our extensive line of JLG and SkyTrak telehandlers. In addition, the acquisition of AUSA complements JLG’s 2023 acquisition of Hinowa, which manufactures tracked dumpers and forklifts.
Moving forward, together
JLG, Hinowa, and AUSA are all strong brands, and joining forces allows all of us to unlock more potential globally. These acquisitions broaden JLG’s reach into the specialty equipment, agriculture and landscaping markets while providing its construction and materials handling customers an even broader array of products — all backed by JLG’s robust training, support and service infrastructure.
This is a very positive time for the business, and we are excited to have the Hinowa and AUSA teams as part of the JLG family. We look forward to sharing additional details about these acquisitions, including new product developments and offerings, in the future at JLG.com/News.
